Mickey, Minnie Unveil New Disneyland Holiday Ensembles
Oh, what a merry Christmas celebration it will be tonight at Disneyland! Mickey and Minnie suprised guests on social media today with a preview of their new outfits this year’s holiday festivities. The new timeless ensembles certainly found inspiration in the 1983 holiday cartoon, “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.”
“I am thrilled to share a First Look at the all-new attire for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse that will premiere tonight at Disney Merriest Nites!” Ken Potrock, President, Disneyland resort, said today in an Instagram post.
Based on the Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol,” the animated featurette starred Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge with Mickey Mouse playing his trusty associate, Bob Cratchit. Minnie Mouse, of course, fills the roll of Bob’s wife Mrs. Cratchit.

Mickey Mouse and his pals return to Disneyland Resort in their holiday best tonight for the first Merriest Nites event at the resort. The sold-out After Hours event brings six different celebration to Disneyland this evening, which now stands fully decorated not only for Christmas but for a number of seasonal holidays.
Earlier this week, Potrock posted his thanks for the cast members who brought the incredible decorations for this year’s range of festivities to life.
“We are excited and honored to ring in the holidays and a diverse season of celebrations at the Disneyland Resort this Friday, including Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day,” Potrock said in the post.
On top of tonight’s special affair, tomorrow also ushers in the return of “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” as the “Festival of the Holidays” begins its almost two-month-long run across Disneyland Resort.
