The Gingerbread House Gift Shop Has Opened at Disney’s Grand Floridian
Are you ready for some delectable holiday treats!? MickeyBlog is coming to you from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort where the shop housed within the stunning Victorian Gingerbread House has officially opened for business!
It was a bustle of activity at the Grand Floridian lobby this morning as guests turned up to be among the first to try this year’s goodies!
Over the weekend, we here at MickeyBlog shared first images of the 50th Anniversary touches that have been added to this year’s gingerbread creation.
You can see evidence of this in the floral arrangements found throughout the house.
The Gingerbread House is always a popular holiday must-do so be prepared for a bit of a line during your visit!
There is a table set up in front of the shop that has a whole host of holiday goodies for you to peruse.
The gingerbread house itself is cordoned off but you can still get close enought to get some amazing pictures!
This year’s creation is simply stunning!
There’s even a a video screen on the front of the Gingerbread house that shows the process of bringing this creation to life.
We patiently waited for our turn in line.
The shop opens up at 9:30 am daily.
The shop will remain open until 9:00 pm at night meaning that there’s still time to stop and pick up your goodies on the way home!
If you look closely you can see that the eaves of the gingerbread house are illuminated!
There is a signage board that gives us a look at the items that are available for purchase. Now let’s look at some of these goodies shall we!?
Above you can see the Grand Gift Box which has a bit of everything from Gingerbread Shingles to 50th Anniversary ornaments! The box retails for $50.00.
Here’s a closer look at the 50th Anniversary Mickey Ornaments. We love these cuties featuring lots of EARidescent details including sprinkles! The ornaments retail for $12.00.
There are display cases in the lobby for those hoping to get a look at some of the items before getting in line.
Above is a look at the larger Gingersnap Cookie which retails for $5.50.
Gingerbread Spiced Caramel Corn is sure to be a favorite. You can take a bag back to your resort room for a special treat for only $12.00.
Looking for a quick breakfast item on the go? This Snowman Donut is sure to do the trick!
For $10 guests can enjoy a sled filled with chocolate balls decorated to look like holiday ornaments.
In addition to the 50th Anniversary ornaments we shared above, you can also pick up the 50th Anniversary Snowglobe. It features a silhouette of Cinderella Castle with the 50th Anniversary logo and retails for $6.50.
For those looking to splash out on a lovely gingerbread creation there’s this exquisitely decorated gingerbread house.
It is brimming with lots of delightful details including a 50th Anniversary image of Cinderella Castle.
The Gingerbread House retails for $80.00.
Above is a picture of the always delicious Mickey Head Caramel Pecan Fudge. It retails for $6.50 and is rich and delicious.
Those that like to keep it simple can pick up a classic Gingerbread Man for $6.25.
Other items, which you can view in the display case above includes Marshmallow lollipops for $3.00 each, A gingerbread man lollipop for $5.50 and there is even a bag of no added sugar cookies for $14.00.
Moving around to the other side of the case, you’ll find a brownie tree pop for $6.50 as well as a 1/2 bag of peppermint bark for $14.00.
There’s also the Thin Mint Cookie for $5.50 As you can see from the image above, Disney has highlighted the treats that are Vegan/Gluten Friendly.
