JUST IN: The Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian is NOW Complete
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that we’ve been tracking the progress of the Gingerbread House being built at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We are now pleased to report that work on the Gingerbread House has been completed.
It was so breathtaking to walk into the Grand Floridian lobby this evening and see the gingerbread house wonderfully assembled in all its splendor.
Disney has really outdone itself with this year’s gingerbread creation.
The gingerbread house looks absolutely stunning with its lush greenery, stunning gables and snowy shingles.
As we’ll show you in a minute some 50th Anniversary touches have even been added to tie it in with Walt Disney World’s birthday celebration.
Here you can get the full picture from the Grand Floridian Resort’s second floor balcony .
As we previously reported, there is new signage up at the Grand Floridian that shows you just how much went into this incredible creation.
As you can see from the cute Gingerbread sign below a lot of ingredients were required, this includes:
- 1050 lbs. of Honey
- 140 points of Egg Whites
- 600 lbs. of Powdered Sugar
- 700 lbs. of Chocolate
- 800 lbs. of flour
- 33 lbs. of spices
- Tons of Creativity
- Disney Magic and Pixie Dust.
The shop at the Gingerbread House will be open daily starting on November 10, 2021 from 9:30 am – 9:00 pm.
The signboard on the right outlines that sorts of delicious holiday treats you’ll be able to get when the shop opens.

As you inch ever closer to the gingerbread house, you’ll notice some of the changes that were added to make the house 50th Anniversary-worthy.
This includes plants in the front garden along with garlands done in a jewel toned EARidescent colorway.
The second level of the house features a balcony adorned with lots of snow-capped trees.
If you look at the shingles in the image above, you may even notice a Hidden Mickey.
Here’s a closer look at the EARidescent decorations that line the rooftops and garlands.
Lighting in the eaves give the entire creation a whimsical glow.
You don’t really get a sense of the real grandeur of this creation until you are there in person!
Definitely make popping over to Disney’s Grand Floridian a priority during your holiday visit.
Next we move around to the side of the gingerbread house where the shop will be.
As you can see, a big 50th Anniversary emblem now sits above the shop windows.
There’s also a video screen on the right side that features a video of the entire process of creating and making this year’s house.
Let’s move closer so you can get a look at the EARidescent details.
Notice the way that the all of the colors in the greenery perfectly ties in with the 50th Anniversary logo.
You’ll also notice that the chimneys are wrapped in gold ribbon.
We can’t believe all of the little details that brought this masterpiece to life.
