VIDEO: See the Celebrated Casey’s Corner Piano Player Randy Back on the Job
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that live entertainment at “The Most Magical Place on Earth” has made a return. This has included the reopening of Jellyrolls and the return of Yehaa Bob!
We also shared the story about the triumphant return of Randy Morris, the beloved piano player that never fails to draw a crowd at Casey’s Corner at the Magic Kingdom.
What makes Randy’s October 1st return so special is that he started his set with a tune called “Maple Leaf Rag.” This was the same exact song that he played 50 years ago on opening day at Magic Kingdom Park.
At that time, Randy was a 19-year-old California native and spent the summer of 1970 working at Disneyland Park before moving to the East Coat.
We absolutely love that 50 years later he is still bringing smiles to guests’ faces flaying everything from “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” to new tunes including the 50th Anniversary anthem “The Magic is Calling.” You can check out Randy in action below:
Throughout Walt Disney World’s 18-month-long 50th Anniversary Celebration you can check out Randy along with other incredible entertainment including the Dapper Dans babershop quartet, the new evening fireworks display Disney Enchantment and more at the Magic Kingdom
