Halloween Has Officially Arrived at the Disneyland Paris Resort!
October has arrived, meaning spooky season is well and truly underway!
The first autumnal chills are starting to sweep through Disneyland Paris, bringing with them falling leaves, the smell of pumpkin spice, and the promise of some wicked new Halloween activities…
Disney’s Halloween Festival has officially returned to the resort, bringing frightful fun from October 1st through November 7th.
From autumnal decorations to creepy attraction experiences, sweet treats to must-have shopping, there’s so much to see and do! Let’s check out what’s going on…
A Park Transformation
Throughout the fall, the Disneyland Park is transformed into a picture-perfect pumpkin patch of Halloween tidings.
In fact, there are 330 pumpkins, 175 meters of string lights, 56 lanterns, 40 friendly ghosts and a crowd of skeletons – the tallest one being three meters high – to be found around the park! Whew!
The Creepiest of Attractions
What better way to celebrate Halloween than by slotting some of the scarier attractions into your schedule?
Some may say that Phantom Manor is the most terrifying of rides in the Disneyland Paris resort, with the mystery of the Ravenswood family hanging over Thunder Mesa.
Others may argue that it’s The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror which brings the real fright – on an elevator that drops faster than gravity!
Fun Character Meets
Throughout the season, guests will find that Mickey, Minnie and the gang have donned their best Halloween costumes, and will allow guests to pose for adorable photos with them at designated ‘Selfie Spots’ across the parks.
Especially now that some restrictions have lifted, allowing guests to remove their face masks in certain locations, there’s all the more reason to smile!
Spooky Shopping
It’s always fun to browse through the stores at Disneyland Paris. Guests will find a whole new range of “Fabulously Villainous” accessories and lifestyle items available on the shelves, featuring all our favorite Disney Villains.
As well as that, Pin Trading guests should watch out for the brand-new pin releases for the month of October. There’s plenty of villainous treats to be found amongst those new collections!
Tempting Treats
The menus at Disneyland Paris never disappoint. Witches fingers, blackened bread rolls, and even a dessert which looks eerily like the Evil Queen’s poisoned apple are all available. What would you order first?
The Return of Maleficent
One of the most spectacular experiences to look forward to this Halloween season is the grand return of Maleficent.
The impressive, steampunk-style, fire-breathing float will make surprise appearances in the Disneyland Park once more – she’s not to be missed!
Disney’s Halloween Party
We’ve saved the most exciting event until last! Halloween night will see the return of Disney’s Halloween Party – a spellbinding, after-hours event full of electrifying ambience, entertainment and more.
Guests are permitted to dress up for this event, and tickets are on sale now.
It is important to note that all of the shows, experiences and events listed above are, of course, subject to modification or cancellation, depending on the evolution of health and safety measures at the resort, and recommendations from public authorities.
Will you be visiting Disneyland Paris this Halloween season? We hope you have the most frightfully fabulous time!
