VIDEO: Beacons of Magic Premieres at EPCOT Ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!
MickeyBlog has been bringing you all the exciting news from EPCOT as Walt Disney World begins their 50th Anniversary Celebration just a few days early! Tonight we brought you the very first showing of Harmonious LIVE and then followed the crowd toward the entrance for a very special surprise. Here’s your very first look at EPCOT’s Beacons of Magic show that will be a cornerstone of the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Spaceship Earth was lit up following Harmonious and we brought you the very first photos.
Shortly thereafter, EPCOT’s Beacons of Magic show began!
You can see Spaceship Earth literally come alive as the lights dance and change color and intensity.
From bright white to brilliant blue, the lights reflect off the triangular surfaces of Spaceship Earth.
We especially love the vibrant red and orange! How striking is that look?
Each park will have its’ own Beacons of Magic show featuring the park’s icon.
The Beacon of Magic show is set to a moving score as the lights dance along to the music.
Our favorite part was when the lights began to twinkle like falling stars!
The lights moved and danced up, down and around Spaceship Earth!
Even in the moments when the lights went dark, Spaceship Earth continued to glow in the light!
We are so happy to see this park icon get the treatment it deserves! It is literally Spaceship Earth’s time to shine!
There will be a Beacon of Magic show in each Disney park as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
This show lasts approximately 5 minutes and will loop after dark every night at EPCOT.
Since it happens so often, you should be able to score a great seat without a long wait unlike a fireworks show.
EPCOT’S Beacons of Magic Thrills and Delights!
The entire experience of this Beacons of Magic show was incredibly moving!
We cannot get over how many different colors appear! From light to dark, pastel to bright, we literally saw every color of the rainbow at one point!
You can see the new pylons that were installed over a year ago. One of our favorite things is seeing how all of the recent renovations are coming together in the new 50th Anniversary shows! The entire entrance design really comes together in this Beacons of Magic show!
At one point in the show, Spaceship Earth turns into a real earth! You can see the outlines of the continents as the earth “spins!”
