Virtual Queue will Be Paused for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Starting September 23
We have some interesting news to share with our readers. Starting on September 23, the virtual queue system will be paused for Rise of the Resistance at Disney World. This is the first time since the attraction opened in 2019 that a traditional stand by line will be used.

Per the Disney website:
Virtual Queue Paused Beginning September 23, 2021
Beginning September 23, 2021, use of the virtual queue will be paused at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Guests may experience the attraction using a traditional standby queue. Availability of a standby queue may be limited and is subject to change at any time without notice. Virtual queue may be used again at a later date or from time to time. Experiencing the attraction is not guaranteed.
Disney has stated in the past that virtual queues were only to be used on newer rides for just a “short” time. Given the Covid shutdown after Rise of the Resistance debuted, the virtual queue hung around longer than usual. Will we see the virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure paused soon after it officially opens as well? Time will tell.

Note: Through September 22, 2021, Guests are still required to join the virtual queue to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
