Imagineer Zach Riddley Shares Details From Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Zach Riddley, an Imagineer who has been working on the redevelopment of EPCOT, has shared some details from the upcoming attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and we’re in awe at the details.
Riddley discusses the Parisian archetecture that the imagineering team researched to ensure that the themeing for the area surrounding the new attraction was authentic and detailed.
The outside queue area takes inspiration from Les Halles (or “The Halls”), a fresh food market that has history that can be traced back to the eleventh century.
The green iron and glass structure that houses the outside queue takes inspiration from the market in the 1850s, with it’s small decrative and intricate details and arched bays that are seen throughout the design.
these archways have been created to pay homage to Parisian history and to complement the rest of the area, including the exterior of the attraction and the fountain housed outside.
And of course, as an Imagineer, Riddley instills the tiniest details to bring immersion to guests, one of which can be found if we look down to the ground.
Yes, even little rat pawprints can be found throughout the area surrounding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure that lead guests to the attraction!
It’s the small details like this that make so many of us love Disney.
Riddley has also been working on projects throughout EPCOT, including Space 220 and HarmoniUS.
We highly recommend any Disney fan to follow his Instagram page for all of the small details that bring Walt Disney World to life.
