Leaflets at Magic Kingdom Announce No More Fastpasses
Our MickeyBloggers are at Magic Kingdom on this Labor Day Monday and we came across an interesting leaflet available at the park.
Disney has created a special leaflet available as you enter the parks. It shows Mickey and Minnie showing off their brand new Earidescent 50th Anniversary costumes.
The leaflet was created to let guests now that Disney’s World FastPass system has now been retired.
The print acknowledges that the language on tickets and leaflets that still mentions Disney’s FastPass service is no longer valid.
Disney goes on to say that they will be introducing new and exciting ways to experience the parks in the future.
By this, Disney is referring to the Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane service which is slated to be implemented at some point this fall.
Unlike the original FastPass service, there will be a fee for both the Genie+ and Lightning Lane services.
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are already starting to remove FastPass signage and replace it with Lightning Lane.
This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking back with us for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
