Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay Underway at Disneyland
Once again, Sandy Claws is bringing us his skewed version of Christmas and is taking over Disneyland to bring the Haunted Mansion Holiday for guests to enjoy.
Seasonal decorations can already be seen surrounding the exterior of the Mansion, giving guests a hint for what is to come when they can board their doom buggies once more.
The overlay is set to be complete by September 3rd, opening six days before the first Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off at Disney’s California Adventure.
Given that the Disneyland Resort was still closed this time last year, this is the first time the beloved Haunted Mansion Holiday will be returning since September 2019.
In fact, this year will be the 20th anniversary of Sandy Claws taking over to bring to us the Haunted Mansion Holiday with the first iteration opening to guests on October 3rd, 2001.
This happened 8 years after the debut of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and we’re shocked it didn’t happen sooner!
Jack’s touches can be seen all around, including his signature pinstripes in bows under Jack-o’-Lanterns, and of course, his equations for Christmas time.
This Halloween addition to the park has always been a fan favorite and we’re already giddy to experience the festive wonder that only Jack and all his Halloween Town friends can bring.
Sandy Claws himself will be pondering Christmas at the gates of the attraction as always, welcoming guests to his holiday mash-up.
