Negotiations have been ongoing for most of the month. However, according to a story that just appeared on WESH Disney has made the decision to require all Service Trades Council Union represented employees to show proof of vaccination.
Vaccinations must be completed no later than October 22, 2021.
Disney said they would consider exemptions in exceptional circumstances including certain medial conditions. or religious beliefs. In a statement the company said, “Disney will make every effort to reasonably accommodate employees with a medical or religious accommodation need in their current role or classification. Cast Members who do not comply with the vaccine requirement and do not request a legitimate accommodation, will be separated from the Company with a ‘yes’ rehire status.”
For those cast members that still need to get vaccinated, Disney World is offering on-site vaccine events like the ones recently posted on the Local 362 Facebook page below.
