Is Work Starting on the Long-Rumored Brazil Pavilion in the World Showcase at EPCOT?

For years, rumors have been swirling of a Brazil pavilion being added to the World Showcase in EPCOT. While many thought this new was going to be confirmed at the D23 Expo back in 2019, but it never was. Since then, many have been wondering if or when an announcement would be made.

While nothing has been confirmed by Disney yet, when were were in EPCOT recently we noticed these “refurb shurbs” added to the area between Tangerine Cafe in the Morocco Pavilion and Chefs de France in the France Pavilion.

These “refurb shrubs” can mean anything but I can say that the spot they are in is a pretty empty spot in the World Showcase – perfect for a new pavilion to be added!

While it could be the site of a future pavilion in EPCOT, there’s also the chance it could be one for another country other than Brazil. However, Brazil seems like the most likely candidate per the rumors that have been circulating.

It’s also possible these “refurb shurbs” have been added as they work on something else that is completely separate than a pavilion. Another thought that I had was that this area might have something to do for the new “Harmonious” nighttime spectacular that will debut on October 1st for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

But, Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary would also be a great time to announce that a new country pavilion is being added to EPCOT’s World Showcase! So, who knows!
