A Vegetarian’s Review of Topolino’s Terrace
Welcome back, vegetarian and vegan MickeyBloggers! I’ve got another veggie-friendly review for you today, and this one comes courtesy of WDW’s newest DVC Resort: Disney’s Riviera.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Topolino’s Terrace. The restaurant is situated on the tip top floor of Riviera and offers views of World Showcase and the entirety of Hollywood Studios! The coolest part is, you’re invited out onto their beautiful fireworks deck to take in Epcot’s evening spectacular after your meal!
I’ve been a vegetarian for almost two years now, and over the course of those two years I’ve been seeking out the best of the best plant-based and vegan options on Disney Property.
Appetizers and Wine
Thank goodness all wine is vegetarian, vegan, AND plant-based- so you really can’t go wrong with your selection! I opted for a dry red to pair with my mostly Italian-inspired meal and it did just the trick.
For a starter, my party ordered the Ricotta (I’m vegetarian, but if you’re a vegan there are salads and a beet appetizer for you!). This is not your regular ricotta that your mom put in her lasagna growing up.
This ricotta is freshly made and has a consistency I’d equate more similarly to the center of a burrata cheese. The flavor, though is mild enough to enjoy on its own, but bold enough to be enjoyed with the accompaniments (house-made bread, tomato, aged balsamic, basil, etc).

8-year aged olive oil
Regardless of your appetizer choice, your table will be presented with a basket of Topolino’s bread I mentioned above. Our server then poured us some 8-year aged olive oil to pair with the bread and…WOW. The olive flavor was extremely flavor-forward in this aged dip, but the flavor notes on the back end were equivalent to a fine wine: subtle, aromatic, and absolutely lovely.
Main Course
Being that Topolino’s is only offering one vegetarian/vegan option on their menu at the time of writing this article, my hands were pretty tied when it came to the entree choice. The Tarbias Bean Casoulet arrived at my table in a small casserole dish and was served with roasted carrots and even more bread.
Though it was something I’d never usually order, I really enjoyed the Casoulet! The flavors were out of this world, and I’m still not sure how the chef was able to pack so much salty, savory flavor into a dish containing absolutely no dairy products. Whole chunks of kind trumpet mushrooms and big, flavorful beans made up the heft of this dish. The pesto-y roasted carrots were a surprisingly delicious side! It was extremely filling and I ended up boxing half my meal to-go!
The other member of my dining party was craving pasta, so she put in a request for a vegetarian pasta. Our server and chef were both happy to help accommodate our dining preferences! A beautiful pasta dish with fresh tomato sauce arrived at our table. Loaded with mushrooms, spinach, asparagus, and a few other veggies, her pasta was any vegetarian’s dream dinner! I stole a few bites and immediately tell two things: this pasta sauce was absolutely made in-house, and this dish was absolutely made fresh to-order. By this point, my eyes were set on the fireworks deck and I was ready to head out for the show!
Fireworks and Final Thoughts
To cap off our dinner, we headed out onto the fireworks deck to enjoy Epcot’s nighttime show. The views were incredible, and while I was up there, I took in just how gorgeous both Topolino’s Terrace and Riviera Resort truly are.
With the fireworks bursting off in the distance and my to-go bag dangling off of my arm I wondered only one thing: when will I be able to snag another dinner reservation?! I highly recommend giving Topolino’s Terrace a try on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
