BREAKING NEWS: NBA Experience Will Not Be Reopening at Disney Springs
We have some sad news to share about the future of the NBA Experience at Disney Springs.
Reporter Scott Gustin (who is an awesome source of Disney news so be sure to follow along with him on Twitter) has just revealed that the NBA Experience WILL BE CLOSING PERMANEANTLY.

According to the report, the news seems to have come from a letter that went out to Disney Springs cast members.
For those unfamiliar, the NBA Experience opened two years ago on Disney’s West Side. The venue was hailed as an immersive world where basketball dreams can come true. The venue was inspired by modern-day NBA arenas with 13 immersive experiences for basketball fans of all ages.
However, a separate admission price for activities and a two year coronavirus shut-down has meant that, according to Gustin, Disney and the NBA have decided to go their separate ways.
It should be noted that though Disney has reached out to impacted cast members, the news has not been made public as of yet. According to Gustin, in the email Disney said that the decision to close the NBA experience would not impact Disney’s working relationship with the NBA.
Disney says this will not impact their other partnerships with the NBA or their business relationship with the Orlando Magic. Disney will share an update about the future of the NBA Experience location at a later date.
Since the NBA experience takes up such a prime bit of Disney real estate in Disney Springs, we fully expect Disney to announce upcoming plans for the space at some point in the near future.
