Painting Is Being Done To Facade at “it’s a small world”
Happily Halloween Disney Friend! I know, I know, it’s only August we are definitely feeling those Halloween vibes as we’re coming to you LIVE! from the 1st Mickey’s Boo Bash which kicks off this evening.
With Halloween just kicking off and Disney World’s 50th Anniversary on the horizon (October 1st) Disney World is giving each of its theme parks a bit of a polish.
Earlier today we shared images with you of construction work being carried out over at Big Top Souvenirs and now we’re at “It’s a small world” in Fantasyland!
If you thought the facade of this classic Disney attraction looks a bit more vivid than usual, you wouldn’t be wrong.
Once the Magic Kingdom closes each day to guests, Disney Cast Members are hard at work giving this beautiful area a colorful upgrade!
This area of the park has always been picture perfect but NOW even more so!
Just look at those beautiful hues of green, yellow and gold.
The style of this outer scene is Mary Blair and Disney at it’s best.
The cityscape where guests board your boats is both totally retro and wonderfully modern at the same time!
Even the clock face seems to be extra happy with the new paint job.
Look at those bright yellow and orange rooftops!
We love the way they match the hues of the ride vehicles.
This is just one of the many small projects Disney is working on in the lead in to its 50th Anniversary celebrations which kick off on October 1st.
It’s worth noting that the ride is currently open.
This afternoon, there was a 20 minute wait to board!
We’ll leave you with one last look at the vibrant pinks and purples in the backdrop below!
Keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog and we’ll keep you updated as to other the progress of this and other Walt Disney World attractions currently being worked on.
