Disney World’s Splash Mountain, Last Song Sung?
MickeyBlog is on the scene this morning in the Magic Kingdom. Lo and behold, we came upon a closed attraction at Disney World’s Splash Mountain.
Splash Mountain, Beginning Construction?
Scaffolding placed high upon the mountain indicates a decent amount of work on this ride. Also, Cast Members closed Splash Mountain today, and we don’t know if it will reopen.
Even though the attraction is full of water still, you can see that no logs are going down the flume. Additionally, the flume itself has no water, it is completely dry.
Cast Members are standing at Splash Mountain’s entrance, informing Guests of the ride’s current closure. The current time on the East Coast displays at the entrance, no attraction wait time posted today.
Then, individuals brought in some type of work machines, although we are not sure the reason for the job. Of course, this could just be general maintenance.
Princess Tiana, Welcome to Frontierland, Perhaps!?!
However, in June 2020, Disney announced that Splash Mountain will be reimagined to a Princess and the Frog attraction in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Could this be the beginning of that transformation for the Florida resident?

Supposedly, the new attraction tells of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen’s journey after the final kiss in the film. Disney planned Splash Mountain’s reimagining a while ago, but the construction did not begin due to the coronavirus outbreak.
However, could this possibly be the start of Princess Tiana coming to Frontierland in time for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”? No one knows at this time with no official announcements made, but we continue to watch, listen, and keep you posted on Disney World’s Splash Mountain!
