Wave…of American Flavors Blocked Off at Contemporary Resort
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently in the middle of a massive renovation. This includes updates to the guestrooms, desk area and Wave…of American Flavors!
We popped by this afternoon to take a look at how things are coming along and have some updated images to share with you.
Previously we shared with you images of the main atrium of the resort. As you can see, scrims are covering all of the guest hallways.
Similar coverings can be found along the outside of the property.
When you enter the area where Wave is you’ll see the entrance blocked off with a construction wall.
Construction signs can be found throughout the vicinity.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog Disney is currently working up new concept for Wave….
They are remaining pretty tight-lipped about what the new concept will be.
The closure does pose a slight problem for guests who preferred to go there for a character-free breakfast.
However, Disney previously announced that California Grill will offer a Wave-style breakfast.
Breakfast takes place at California Grill from 7:30 am – 11:00 am daily!

Though Disney has yet to announce a finishing date for the construction we assume that it will be in time for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
Since we are only about two months away from the festivities that kick off on October 1st, it means that Disney only has about 8 weeks to finish up the work.
