New Calligram Mickey Tshirt is a Work of Art!
Disney Merchandise has come a long way from baggy white tshirts with a classic Mickey head! These days, Disney has a constant stream of graphic shirts that are hip, cool and fun to wear! We spotted the newest edition yesterday at the Magic Kingdom. Check out this brand new calligram Mickey Tshirt!
For those readers that aren’t English majors, a calligram is defined as “Text arranged in such a way that it forms a thematically related image.” Calligrams have become especially popular as websites like wordart.com and wordclouds.com allow you to load sentences or quotes and automatically create images including those words.
This new shirt is a classic calligram. Positive words, inspirational phrases and quotes are shaped to make up an image of Mickey. One of Mickey’s ears is made of the phrases “Believe in Magic!” and “Oh Boy!” The other ear says “Dream” “Be Fearless” and “Speak with Kindness.”
The rest of Mickey’s face and the outline of his hands features similar positive and inspirational sentiments. You can find “Think Happy Thoughts” as well as Walt Disney quotes like “When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way!” We even spotted our favorite quote, “All Your Dreams Can Come True if you have the courage to pursue them” making up Mickey’s left hand!
