PeopleMover is Down On One of the Biggest Magic Kingdom Days of the Year
MickeyBlog is at the Magic Kingdom today to celebrate the 4th of July at one of our favorite theme parks.
We made a beeline to Tomorrowland to enjoy the theme parks views from atop the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover only to find that the ride is currently closed to the public.
It’s unfortunate that is popular attraction is closed on what is certain to be one of Disney’s busiest days of the year.
The reopening of the PeopleMover was a subject we closely followed at the beginning of the year.
For those following along with us, you’ll know that the PeopleMover is one of the attractions that DID NOT reopen when Walt Disney World reopened the theme parks last year after the COVID-19 shutdown.
After nearly a year of technical difficulties, testing and replacing parts of the ride, PeopleMover wouldn’t open until April of this year.
Since the end of April the ride has been running consistently with the odd closure here and there.
No word yet on when the attraction will reopen.
MickeyBlog will be at Magic Kingdom throughout day and we’ll let you know if the attraction does reopen to the public.
For those eager to see how the construction is coming along on Tomorrowland’s new TRON coaster, you can get an awesome vantage point from atop the PeopleMover!
Follow along as we’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every day.
