ICYMI: Foodies Rejoice with Disney Reopening News
Disney Parks Blog debuted a flurry of delicious culinary options returning soon to both the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort. Hope you have noshed on breakfast this morning, Disney foodies, because these reopenings are sure to make your stomach grumble.
A Practically Perfect Redesign
The whimsy of “Mary Poppins Returns” inspired a complete redesign of Citricos, a perennial fan-favorite at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Unique lamps and chandeliers dominate the new decor. The choices bring about an English garden feel sprung straight out of the animated sequences during the Royal Daulton Music Hall scenes.
Even the food takes on Mary’s subtle capriciousness with popcorn touches to a sweet corn bisque and a surprising chamomile note within a goat cheese salad. Citricos opens July 15th, and reservations opened yesterday.
Ball Game-Inspired Dogs Return
The beloved Casey’s Corner reopened in Magic Kingdom this week to a rousing round of the baseball favorite, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” Cast members serenaded guests as they returned to the treasured Main Street U.S.A. staple on Wednesday.
Famous for a variety of mouth-watering hot dogs (and corn dog bites), crowds gathered well before the shop opened for lunch to snag a traditional must.
Main Street Scoops Returns Soon
For those with more of a sweet tooth, the Plaza Ice Cream Shop reopens on July 7th for guests looking for those delightful waffle bowl sundaes in the Magic Kingdom. The shop, straight out of classic Americana, has long-delighted guests to Main Street U.S.A.
Trail Leads to Campground Favorite Reopening
Trail’s End Restaurant, the penultimate stop for table service dining at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness reopens later this month. (Does that mean Hoop-De-Doo isn’t far behind?)

Trail’s End Brunch
Opening July 17th, the staple services family-style hearty skillets for breakfast and a slew of homestyle dinner options. We can’t wait to try the Smokehouse Skillet.
The new entree features rotisserie chicken, pecan-smoked brisket, andouille sausage and a bunch of traditional barbecue sides.
Animal Kingdom Treats Reopen
Two restaurants rejoined the Animal Kingdom mix recently with Eight Spoon Cafe now open (make sure to try the Pulled Pork Baked Macaroni & Cheese) and Dino Diner reopening on July 4th.
For churro people, this is a welcome return as it certainly makes a trip to Dinoland U.S.A. complete.
Salt & Straw Comes to Lake Buena Vista
The incredibly popular Salt & Straw makes the cross-country jump later this summer with a new location at Disney Springs.

The Downtown Disney District staple is famous for their unique flavors like Goat Cheese Marionberry Habenero and Wild Foraged Berry Slab Pie. We can’t wait for this to become a Disney Springs fixture!
Family Dinner Night, Resort-Style
Also debuting this summer, Walt Disney World resorts present a new dinner concept with Disney Familly Night Dinner. Offered from 5pm-10pm through mobile ordering, the new three-course takeaways feed 3-4. Guests can order these at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian and Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
