MickeyBlog Arrives at the Avengers Campus And Crowds are EPIC!
We made it Disney friends! Your MickeyBloggers Greg & Elyssa managed to get into a boarding group this morning meaning that they get to check out the stunning new Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park.
Before we start to delve into the various rides and attractions can we just take a minute to appreciate the crowds of people in the campus as of this afternoon!?
Our bloggers are so brave for maneuvering throw the traffic which is now reminiscent of peak season traffic from our pre-pandemic Disney visits.
Disneyland announced prior to the Avengers Campus opening that there would be a stand-by queue to get into this area of the park and now we certainly understand why.
Guests with boarding groups for WEB SLINGERS are not required to wait in the stand-by line.
It’s so amazing to see all of these awesome Marvel details in person.
Here’s a look at the entrance sign.
As the backstory for the campus goes, WEB HQ is housed in a building owned by Tony Stark which he inherited from his father. With that in mind, it’s not uncommon to see the old Stark branding as you walk through the campus.
Below is another tip-of-the-hat to the Stark family.
We got a tip-of-the-hat from one of the new team members working in the land. Cast member costumes here are really fantastic.
As you can see, Cast Members are still required to wear face masks. However, guests no longer need to wear them when visiting.
Even the trash canes in the Avengers Campus have fun super hero details.
The Collector’s Fortress which is home to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT is looking absolutely incredible.
During our visit this afternoon, access to this area of the park was being restricted.
Security was working the main entrance of the park to wrangle the crowds.
Here’s a look at the two lines, one for those who’s WEB SLINGERS boarding group has been called and the other for the Stand-By line. Now it should be noted that the stand-by line is just for guests to get into the Avengers Campus. There is now stand-by for WEB SLINGERS which is virtual queue only!
We were surprised at how smoothly everything ran despite the larger crowds.
We’ll hopefully have a bit more time over the next few days to explore all of the awesome Avengers details.
