Disney+ – Three New Loki Videos Preface Premiere
Beyond a press conference, three new videos released by Marvel serve notice that Loki is no puny show…
Loki is all over my timeline. Literally.
Tom Hiddleston’s Marvel show on Disney+ is dominating Hollywood news; each day delivers more looks at Loki and his new job with the TVA.
News From The News Conference
Today, we hear tell about more influences on the creatives, and the many different facets to the new series and its characters.
Deadline’s Dominic Patten posted:
Se7en is a very heavy influence,” director and executive producer Kate Herron said of the six-part Tom Hiddleston-led series that debuts on June 9. Added head writer Michael Waldon of the stylized show, “I think [David] Fincher for sure, I think Zodiac … was a big influence in the writers room.”
But Walden added, “I was just thinking Loki is DB Cooper, that’s all I was thinking… Just the opportunity for chaos and fun within that just seemed like it would be a great time.”
For those of you wondering just who the heck DB Cooper is, well, Britannica.com explains:
D.B. Cooper, also known as Dan Cooper, criminal who in 1971 hijacked a commercial plane traveling from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, Washington, and later parachuted out of the aircraft with the ransom money. An extensive manhunt ensued, but the hijacker was never identified or caught, resulting in one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in U.S history.
And you’ve seen that moment in nearly all the trailers. Loki jumps out of a plane, there’s a flash, and he’s gone.
Anyway, check out Dominic’s full story here. And sit back and enjoy the THREE new clips posted by Marvel on YouTube, today.

Owen Wilson is one of my favorites. I mean, is it really shocking that he turned down Iron Man and the Hulk? Okay, yes, it is.
“Pretend your life depends on it,” said Mobius to Loki.
BTW: The above puts us directly into the timeline created by the Avengers in Endgame.
And my guess is that is where we will start on Wednesday. Only two more sleeps, kids.
I am fired up. Don’t @ me. Unless you want to, in the comments.
