Boo Bash Ticketing Issues Cause Massive Morning Delay
Thousands of excited Disney guests waiting anxiously to snag their tickets to Boo Bash, a new Disney After Hours event coming to Magic Kingdom this fall, found themselves on extensive silent holds this morning.
According to Walt Disney World Guest Services, a technical issue on both the consumer and travel agent sites caused an issue with tickets loading onto the servers. More than an hour into phone lines opening, the issue still had not been resolved.
Tickets went on sale this morning for guests staying on property. After Hours events sell a very limited amount of tickets to provide guests with a unique experience and easy access to popular rides.
Devilish Details for New Event
Like many other after hours events including Disney Villains After Hours, Boo Bash also will include unique treats like the Foolish Mortals Funnel Cake above. Halloween-themed character cavalcades will eerily travel through the park as well, including one featuring Jack Skellington, Sally and Oogie Boogie.
Always a favorite of Disney After Hours, greetings from some of Magic Kingdom’s favorite haunts will provide goolish delights. The Cadaver Dans are set to perform, and Miss Carlotta, Miss Renatta and Broome the Butler at the Haunted Mansion will provide ghostly greetings.
Announced last month, Boo Bash replaces the annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an annual celebration of the frightful holiday at Magic Kingdom. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the After Hours event allows guests a similar experience within safety parameters.
Though the Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade may not travel down Main Street U.S.A. this year, guests can still enjoy trick-or-treating in costume throughout the park during the event.
Tickets for Boo Bash went onsale this morning for Walt Disney World resort guests. They go on sale on June 15th for guests not staying on property. Prices vary depending on the date of the party.
