New Signs Pop Up in Disney World to Remind Guests Face Coverings are Still Required in Attractions
It was just two weeks ago when Walt Disney World announced that masks and face coverings would no longer be required for all Guests when outdoors. While many Guests have embraced this step towards a pre-COVID theme park experience, Disney is still reminding Guests with these new signs that face coverings are still required on all attractions.
Walt Disney World’s official policy on masks and face coverings for all Guests ages 2 and up as well as all Cast Members states:
Please bring your own face coverings and wear them in all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing. Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.
Face coverings at the Walt Disney World Resort are still required in the following situations:
- Upon entering and throughout all attractions
- All theaters, including theater entrances
- All transportation, including transportation entrances
- All indoor locations, including restaurants, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary
Face coverings or mask are NOT required in the following situations:
- Outdoor common area
- Pool decks
We spotted these new signs reminding Walt Disney World Guests that masks are still required on all attractions in front of the Carousel of Progress in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. However, chances are you will spot them throughout all four Walt Disney World theme parks.
I don’t know about you but I am excited for my Walt Disney World trip in three weeks where I will not have to wear a face covering outdoors in the hot, Florida, summertime heat! If I still have to wear one on (air conditioned) attractions though, that is perfectly okay for me!
Make sure to keep it here with MickeyBlog.com as you can count on us to be the first to update you as Walt Disney World continues to evolve their face covering mandate.
