Finding Goofy: Searching for the Birthday Pup Today
Gawrsh, Goofy loooks pretty good for an 85-year-old! After all, that’s a whole lot of dog years for a giant breed like this carefree pup.
A staple around the Disney parks, Goofy appears at many locations throughout Disney properties. In honor of his birthday, lets take a look at a few.
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Goofy greets guests at both breakfast and dinner now in a jovial return to the Chef Mickey’s character dining experience. Whipping up Mickey waffles in the morning a family-style array of delectable entrees in the evening, Goofy brings his usual cheer to dining guests throughout the day.
Cavalcades throughout the Disney Parks
Goofy joins his other canine pal Pluto as well as Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the gang during the day in calvalcades throughout Magic Kingdom. Goofy greets guests at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Main Street U.S.A. train stations as well and in the front of EPCOT.

Discover Goofy during a flotilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom throughout the waters of Discovery River. We highly recommend the walkway from Africa to Pandora just past the Festival of the Lion King for the best viewing.
Makahiki at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa

With its return to character dining exclusively for resort guests earlier this month, Goofy also made a return to Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i. Featuring regional Asian and American cuisine, Makahiki (a celebration of harvest and peace) embraces native Hawaiian culture. Goofy also waves hello in his most appropriate island-inspired ensemble.

A vaction-ready Goofy welcomes guests to breakfast at Ravello, a truly delicious dining experience inside the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World. Located on Disney property within the Golden Oaks community, Ravello breakfast features a prix-fixe meal with magically enhanced photo opportunity. Characters also parade throughout the restaurant in their most stylish vacation apparel.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Railway engineer Goofy loses control of the train cars triggering the whirlwind of adventures on this new Hollywood Studios attraction. The ride twists and turns through settings based on the award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts now on Disney+. The ride is the first theme park attraction to ever focus on Mickey and Minnie Mouse and truly proves that “nothing can stop us now.”
Fishing at the Pacific Wharf
Goofy and his son Max were also spotted a few months ago fishing alongside Pacific Wharf at Disney’s Californian Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. Though we are not sure if they caught their lunch or not, the photo op certainly made for some great father-son bonding time. Random character spottings like this have become of a staple of post-pandemic character experiences that will hopefully stick around.
Sport Goofy
One thing is for sure: Sport Goofy definitely stays in shape! With a run challenge named after him, Goofy certainly knows the importance of physical fitness.
He is also quite the sports fan as seen here preparing to assist with Super Bowl referee duties.
Happy birthday, Goofy! We hope that you had a great day and remembered your own mantra: “Life’s too short to always be serious!”
