Incredible Value and Location at Disney’s Pop Century
Planning a Trip to Walt Disney World is an exciting opportunity. For some it can be overwhelming to select where to stay on your trip. Using a Disney Vacation Planner such a MickeyTravels can help you with this process.
For most families, budget is one of the main considerations when picking a Disney resort. Budget conscious families should consider Disney’s Pop Century for incredible value and location.
Disney has 4 resort categories that can help families decide which resort is best from them. Disney calls these categories Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villas.
In the past, value and moderate accommodations only provided Disney bus transportation until the opening of the Skyliner in 2019.
Disney’s Pop Century
One of the resorts that offers Skyliner access is Pop Century. Pop Century is considered a Value resort and is priced accordingly. Pop Century ranges from $120-$220 a night making this an excellent option for families on a budget.
Disney’s Pop Century is a great resort to maximize value but to also receive the perks of staying on property. Pop Century has an ideal location.
Rooms
Pop Century recently finished a massive room renovation. When we stayed at Pop Century last month, the room even smelled brand new.
Young children will love the rooms as they are brightly colored and feature Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse and Pluto. Parents will love the rooms because they are clean, modern, and have lots of storage options and ample USB ports.
Each room features a queen bed and a pull down queen sized Murphy bed. The pull down bed can be stored during the day and used as a table throughout the day.
Luggage can easily slide under the queen bed to maximize space. The room also includes a mini fridge and a coffee maker.
Dining
Disney’s Pop Century has one large food court area and a pool bar. The food court, Everything Pop, has lots of dining options, a gift shop, and indoor and outdoor seating.
The food court offers everything from pizza, pasta, burgers to salads and turkey sandwiches. The Hippy Dippy pool bar, Petals Pool Bar, offers drinks and snacks throughout the day. You can also order pizza and have it delivered to your room.
Theming
Disney’s Pop Century features five sections each representing a decade. The 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s are all represented.
Each section honors pop century icons of that decade along with Disney movies created in that decade. The 1960s section features the main pool and is closest to the lobby.
Pool
Disney’s Pop Century features 3 pools. The largest pool is the Hippy Dippy Pool in the 1960s section that includes water jets and a kiddie pool area. The 1950s section features a Bowling Pool and the 1990s features the Computer Pool.
Skyliner
The best benefit of Disney’s Pop Century resort is that it is the least expensive option on the Disney Skyliner. The other resorts that feature the Skyliner are Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resort. Art of Animation and Pop Century share the same Skyliner station.
The Skyliner provides easy access to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Bus transportation can be used for Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.
