Disney Skyliner Gondolas Crash at Hollywood Studios Station
It appears that the Skyliner had an incident today where 2 gondolas crashed into each other. The crash happened at the Hollywood Studios station. Instagram user @nextstopmainstreet had a video on her IG story showing a wheel-chair accessible gondola crashing into the back of another gondola, causing the glass to shatter and fall.
The wheel-chair accessible gondola, which has its own dedicated loading area and track, made contact with another gondola as it was trying to make its way back on the main section of the track.
I’m sure everyone can remember the gondola incident that took place back in 2019 when 2 gondolas collided at the Riviera Resort station and guests were stranded for 3 hours. At least one person was taken to the hospital while others were just inconvenienced. The Skyliner did close for a period of time following this incident.
