Black Panther II Has A Working Title
What’s Behind the Nickname for Black Panther II? Hopefully a Great Movie…
We don’t know who it’s about. We don’t know the plot. Heck, we don’t even know the real title. But we now know the working title of Black Panther II…Summer Break.
And the thread goes like this Production Weekly posted, and then TheRonin, The Direct, ComicBook.com, and finally MovieWeb.com reported the new production”s nom de plum.
Working Titles are mostly metaphorical to a key point or detail concerning the particular plot, just like The Batman was pre-titled Vengeance. However, sometimes it could also intend to be humorous or jokingly connected to the film…
Black Panther II being called Summer Break could just be in reference to the fact that it’s being shot over summer, and this is what the cast and crew are doing on their ‘summer break’. Since many will tell you working on a Marvel movie is akin to a vacation.
We have posted previously about the production of Black Panther II.
Specifically, MickeyBlog.com explained that Chadwich Boseman’s T’Challa would not be recast for Black Panther II.
Marvel Will NOT Recast the Role of Black Panther After Chadwick Boseman’s Death
And, as such, the story had to change.
However, while there’s not a heck of a lot to glean from the moniker of Summer Break, we can enjoy the ongoing tradition of Marvel’s marvelous working titles, as compiled by TheRonin.com:
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME = THE NOVEMBER PROJECT
THOR: LOVE & THUNDER = THE BIG SALAD
CAPTAIN MARVEL 2 = GOAT RODEO
ANT-MAN & THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA = DUST BUNNY
Here’s hoping that Summer Break (and the rest) is much, much better than the nickname.
