Camp and Vacation Essentials at Meadow Trading Post
On most camping trips, a secluded spot in a quiet forest clearing is where the entire vacation begins and ends.
There is something intangibly special about being in the middle of nature. If you’re out in the middle of the woods and forget an essential item though…that relaxing camping trip can turn stressful quickly. Either you’re hitching up your camper to drive to the nearest town, or you’re stuck!
At Disney’s Fort Wilderness, you can have your secluded, woodsy campsite and stay as off-the-grid as you wish…and sprinkle in some shopping too! Here, it’s easy to combine all the elements that make camping so much fun with easy access to Disney merchandise shopping and browsing when you need a change of scenery!
Meadow Trading Post Essentials
I popped into Meadow Trading Post the other day to do some shopping myself! Firstly, the little store is located in the heart of The Campsites at Fort Wilderness and is decorated in a way that stirs up nostalgic Disney Store feelings. An adorable Mickey welcomes you right as you walk in!
What I found really cool about this particular store is its uniqueness. Yes, you can find some frozen pizzas and ice cream novelties in most DVC Resort stores, but Meadow Trading Post offers so much more than any other on-site Resort store!
Since most folks are using their own personal campers as a place to sleep, hang out, cook, and shower, it’s easy to forget essentials when you’re packing so many items.
Meadow Trading Post stocks grab-and-go breakfast items that will make getting out the RV door to the Theme Parks a breeze.
If you’re planning to light up a fire and roast some marshmallows below the stars, they’ve got you covered with that too!
Want to go swimming but forgot your swimsuit? Head on over to Meadow Trading post for everything you may have forgotten at home!
Disney Merchandise Galore
If you’re the type of vacation packer that I am, you have an entire checklist of items to bring with you that you review twice (okay…more like four times) before you hit the road. More than likely, the shopping I do on vacation is for pure fun!
If you need a souvenir to bring home or have youngsters wanting to buy some plush toys you don’t feel like carrying around Epcot all day, The Meadow Trading Post is located in the center of the Campsites, so it’s easy to drop anything you buy back at your camper!
Fort Wilderness-Exclusive Items
The neatest offerings here though are those that are specific to the Resort. You’ll find some adorable T-shirts featuring the Fort Wilderness logo!
When you’re packing for a Disney vacation in the winter, the evenings can get really chilly!
I can picture myself cozying up under this Fort Wilderness blanket after a long day at the Parks, roasting a perfectly toasted marshmallow before drifting off the sleep.
Many die-hard Fort Wilderness fans ONLY stay at the Campsites. If you’re one of them, make sure you grab some Fort Wilderness-branded items on your next trip at Meadow Trading Post! The Meadow Trading Post is open daily from morning to night and is a stop that I encourage any Fort Wilderness camper to check out!
