Magic Kindgom Calendar Shows Two Winter 2022 Early Closures
Though all calendars are focused right now on the holiday seasons, those making park reservations for late January and early February 2022 will want to take note of two early closures for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
The most “magical place on Earth” will close at 4:30pm to allow for cast member celebrations on Tuesday, January 25th and Tuesday, Feb. 8th.
Both closures will see the park asking guests to exit at 4:30 p.m. rather than the traditional Tuesday closing time, which is often 8 p.m. during the post-holiday winter months.
Both closures allow Magic Kingdom to host not one but two special events honoring the service of Walt Disney World cast members. The first night will honor those who received the award in 2020, and the second night will honor those who received the award in 2021. The special night did not occur last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Disney parks have long celebrated milestone achievements for its hard-working cast. Most recently. Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle joined cast members celebrating 50 years of service with Walt Disney World. The #Classof1971 began their careers at the resort the same year in which it opened to the public.
One cast member, Earliene, who works at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, also recently joined two other original Contemporary cast members to open the resort’s time capsule. The keepsake was buried 25 years ago, during the Walt Disney World resort’s previous incredible milestone celebration.
Planning with the Calendar in Mind
Those planning their park reservations will want to take note of this important celebration for cast members and plan accordingly. Some purposely choose to go to Magic Kingdom on these days due to smaller crowds; however, those looking for the evening entertainment at Magic Kingdom will definitely want to choose a different night to visit the dream-inspiring theme park.
