Virtual Queue For A Touch of Disney Paused Minutes Into Opening
Well, it wouldn’t be a Disney launch date without a few kinks now would it!? If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that just a little bit ago we shared the news that Disneyland had officially gone live with a virtual queue for their ‘A Touch of Disney’ event happening on select Mondays and Thursdays at Disney California Adventure starting March 12th.
Earlier this afternoon, the option to check availability opened up.
Guests were directed to a holding area and told to wait for a virtual queue to be set up. Those waiting in the holding area were advised that we’d be automatically entered into the queue.
Around noon (EST), those waiting to be entered into the queue were updated with the message above stating that the queue had started and that you had a spot in line.
However, it wasn’t long before the message included an approximate wait time with most guests reporting that their wait was being listed as in excess of an hour!
That lasted for a few minutes before guests were switched to an updated message saying that the virtual queues had been paused and no tickets were being sold at this time.
Most recently it was updated to thank visitors for their patience. But, also letting guests know that their spot in line was being maintained. We’ll be following along closely here at MickeyBlog and promise to keep you updated as soon as we know more. In the meantime, please rest assured that any technical difficulties you are experiencing are a result of Disney’s system being down!
