Disneyland May Be Dropping Monthly Payment Plan for Annual Passholders
According to the Orange County Register, it looks like Disneyland might be considering dropping the monthly payment plan option. Experts say the monthly payments “was the tipping point for Disneyland’s crowding issues.” They also claim that once passes were more affordable thanks to the monthly payment options, that’s when the surge in Passholders started since they were more affordable.
Lance Hart of Blooloop’s stated that “Crowd levels at the California theme parks had now surged to the point where there was really no longer a slow season for Disneyland or California Adventure. Tourists arriving from afar who may have tried to plan a trip to visit in what they thought was a slower season were often shocked at how crowded the park was, no matter what time of year they would visit.”
Some considerations for passes may be based on the times of day the guests would visit, for instance, daytime or evening-exclusive access. Also, would the new passes include blackout dates, discounts, parking? There’s still much to consider.
