We Wanted to Love This Halloween Treat at Disney’s All-Star Resorts, But…
Halloween has hit Disney World Resort, and there’s no shortage of things to do in celebration of the season. There are tons of offerings, like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, spooky merchandise, and terrifyingly tasty foods!
And, speaking of, haunted treats are popping up all over Disney World! So today we headed over to the All-Star resorts to try out some frightening new treat offerings.
Fall Foods at the All-Star Resorts
The All-Star resorts have joined the celebration with three seasonal food items! For something savory, you can head to one of these resorts to grab the Chicken Adobo Nachos. For $12.49, these fall-inspired nachos come with blue corn tortilla chips, grilled chicken adobo, toasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, roasted corn pico, a zesty pumpkin-cheese sauce, as well as a cilantro-lime crema and yellow corn tortilla strips. We didn’t try them out today, but we did dig into the two Halloween treats they have!
Plant-based Monster Cupcake
We were excited to see a plant-based, allergy-friendly option on their menu! The treat is $5.99 and is an allergy-friendly cupcake with a swirl of vanilla buttercream. Needless to say, this cupcake is absolutely adorable. But how does it taste?
Upon biting into the cupcake, we were left wanting more. The cupcake looks very fudgy on the inside; however, the fudge doesn’t pack the punch we expected. The texture was quite chalky, and the cupcake tasted an awful lot like almond milk. Overall, we’re happy to see another plant-based and allergy-friendly option in the resort, but the taste just wasn’t there.
Mickey Pumpkin Cheesecake
The Mickey Pumpkin Cheesecake is yet another adorable fall item to grab when you’re at an All-Star resort! For $6.29, you receive a pumpkin cheesecake with chocolate-ginger torte and almond crumble.
The cheesecake is exactly how we like it — super creamy. The pumpkin shined through, yet complimented the chocolate-ginger torte without overpowering it. The flavors combined beautifully and didn’t overwhelm our tastebuds. This one was definitely a winner!
So, if you find yourself at an All-Star Resort, be sure to try out one (or all) of these fall options before they’re gone! And we’ll continue to bring you the latest happening around Disney World resort, so be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog!
