May Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Pulled From Website
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney Cruise Line is continuing to exercise an abundance of caution and is cancelling sailings due to guidance from the CDC. As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, sailings aboard the Fantasy and Dream have been cancelled through the end of April with the Wish and Magic cancelling further out due to the length of their sailings and foreign locales.
In addition It NOW looks like Disney Cruise Line is prepping for the cancellation of sailings in May of 2021 across all of their ships with the news that ALL SAILINGS have been pulled from sale on Disney Cruise Line website. Check out the image below:
As you can see from the image, those doing a search for May sailings will now receive the message above showing no availability.
It should be noted that Disney Cruise Line HAS NOT said anything official regarding May cancellations but historically, pulling sailings off sale has served as a precursor to these sailings eventually being cancelled by the DCL.
The official statement on the Disney Cruise Line website currently states that all sailings are cancelled through April 2021 and select sailings onboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder have been cancelled for May. Disney has also cancelled ALL sailings with a duration longer than 7 nights. There’s a statement on the website that reads:
“Sailings are cancelled aboard the Disney Fantasy through April 24; the Disney Dream through April 30; the Disney Magic through May 9; and the Disney Wonder through May 12.Additionally, as previously shared, based on the conditional sail order provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Disney Cruise Line must cancel sailings longer than 7 nights.”
It should be noted that guests on impacted sailings that have paid their reservations in full for the cancelled sailings mentioned above are being offered their choice of an onboard cruise credit to be used for a future sailing or a complete refund. Guests who have not paid their reservations in full will receive a refund for what they have paid. At the moment this DOES NOT apply to all MAY sailings as Disney has not officially announced their cancellation. However, once they do, we would expect similar rules to apply.
Guests who’ve booked their reservation through a travel agent should contact them directly with any questions. Those who’ve booked directly with Disney Cruise Line and have questions should call (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797.
