BREAKING NEWS: Magical Express Is Ending By 2022
Its the end of an era Disney friends. Disney has just announced that they will be discontinuing their Magical Express Service at the end of this year (2021) with no airport shuttle service for 2022 going forward.
Though details remain vague at the moment Disney said in a statement this afternoon:
“When Disney Resort Hotel bookings open for stays in 2022, we will NO LONGER be offering Disney’s Magic Express service for airport transportation starting with arrivals on January 1, 2022.”
Disney offers that they will continue to operate the service for new and existing reservations made at Disney Resort hotels for 2021 arrivals.
Disney also mentions that no changes will be made to other complimentary transportation options including buses, monorails and Disney’s Skyliner.
At the time of going to print, Disney has yet to announce substitutes for the Magical Express service. However, it does offer them plenty of time to introduce alternate transportation options to guests.
One such option may be the introduction of a high speed rail network that will be connecting South Florida with Orlando. The plans for the rail network include a proposed station at Disney Springs and a route from Orlando International Airport to the Disney Springs stop.
