Magic Kingdom Fireworks Testing Announced
We have some exciting news to share with you tonight! Walt Disney World has announced that they will be conducting some routine fireworks testing around different areas of Magic Kingdom Park tomorrow night, Wednesday December 16th. The testing is scheduled to occur 10:30 to 11:30 p.m.
This notice was posted so as not to alarm or surprise guests in the surrounding area during the evening. Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close at 8pm to guests but those close by will definitely notice the additional noise and sporadic nighttime displays.
This is the second fireworks testing notice that has been posted. The first was for the evening of November 16, 2020 and MickeyBlog was there livestreaming it for our fans. You can view the evening’s festivities by clicking here. MickeyBlog is going to do their best to livestream this test as well. So stay tuned!
As a reminder, fireworks performances and other nighttime spectaculars in Disney’s parks remain temporarily unavailable until further notice. But hopefully this is a positive sign that we are getting closer to their return.
Although not an official nighttime spectacular, Magic Kingdom guests currently can enjoy the “occasional bursts of merriment” happening each night as part of the Cinderella Castle projection effects through December 30th.
