Changes Coming to Select Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Categories in 2022
Even though cruises are still suspended, we have had a lot of Disney Cruise Line news to report on over the past several days. Last week, bookings opened for early 2022 cruises and we learned that the all-new ship, the Disney Wish, would take its inaugural voyage in Summer 2022. This week, we have learned that also in 2022, select Disney Cruise Line stateroom categories will be changed.
Disney Cruise Line has stated that these stateroom categories will be changed to provide greater consistency across the fleet including the three new ships that will enter the fleet beginning with the Disney Wish in 2022.

Disney Fantasy Standard Inside Stateroom – Accessible
Guests will notice that some Disney Cruise Line stateroom categories eliminated completely. In addition, concierge categories will be modified in an effort to make things more intuitive for Guests.
It’s important to note that not all categories are changing and stateroom numbers will remain the same on all four of the Disney Cruise Line ships.

After reviewing the itineraries and stateroom categories for the 2022 Disney Cruise Line sailings, it appears that category changes coming to the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will just be for the concierge staterooms. However, on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the categories will change for select oceanview staterooms and oceanview with verandah staterooms. The concierge stateroom categories will also be changing on these two ships.
The changes to the Disney Cruise Line stateroom categories will not impact cruises that might sail in 2020 or sailings in 2021.
