Disney Park Pass Theme Park Reservations Are Here to Stay
Since Walt Disney World reopened back in July, all Guests visiting any of the four Walt Disney World Parks have been required to make a Disney Park Pass Theme Park reservation in addition to purchasing a valid admission. Many have wondered if this system would go away anytime soon and it appears that this system is here to stay for some time.
Up until today, Guests looking to visit Walt Disney World in 2021 could only book packages with an arrival date of September 26, 2021 or earlier. However, that all changed over night at Disney released bookings with arrival dates from September 27, 2021 until December 31, 2021. Once those dates were released for booking, Disney also updated the Disney Park Pass calendar with theme park reservations now available and required until January 14, 2022.
Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are just one of several new protocols Disney has implemented in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to all Guests being required to have a Park Pass to enter all four Parks, social distancing markers have been installed all over the Parks, temperature checks are required by all Guests and Cast Members to enter a Park in addition to all Guests and Cast Members being required to wear a face covering.
It is unknown how long the temperature screening and face covering mandate will be required to enter the Parks. Recently, the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, announced that masks were no longer required in the state. However, Walt Disney World confirmed that masks will be required for all Guests ages 2 and older as well as Cast Members for the immediate future.
While getting a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation might be a pain at times, it the perfect way for Disney to limit the amount of Guests in a Park at a time. In the past, top Disney official have hinted that the Disney Park Pass system might be one of the changes that stays even after the pandemic is over.
