BREAKING NEWS We Were There For The Reopening Of AMC Commissary At Hollywood Studios
Happy Thursday Disney friends! Your MickeyBlogger was on the scene at Hollywood Studios early this morning to celebrate the reopening of one of our favorite Quick Service eateries – ABC Commissary! This great spot to grab a quick bite to eat opened its doors this am and it was nice to walk through the palm tree lined corridor once again!
From the moment you walk up to the Commissary you’ll see that new health and safety measures have been put into place to accommodate guests. Cast members were wearing face shields at the entrance.
The hardworking team there were also putting out NEW signage to walk guests through using the mobile ordering service to make the process of ordering contactless.
As we mentioned earlier in the week, the restaurant now boasts a newly updated menu featuring some awesome eats that we couldn’t wait to try including the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich!

Here’s a closure look at the process of ordering your food online! There’s also a QR code that guests can scan to streamline the whole process.
Once ordered, you’ll get a message like this on your My Disney Experience App letting you know that the team is preparing your order!
Once your order is ready, the app will update to let you know that its time to pick up your food!
We missed the inside of t his space with its lush green entryway!
There weren’t any noticeable changes made to the inside of the eatery.

We were the first to enter the restaurant and were greeting by smiling cast members which really made our day!
Everything was looking clean and sparkly and the cast members were all wearing masks.
It was a bit early for us to have lunch but we simply could resist one of the new Halloween Hard Cideres on the menu!
As you can see from the image below, it even came complete with a poison apple glow cube!
The Disney magic was in full force as the cast members where so happy to be reopened and went out of there way to make us feel special!
One of the things worth noting is that the self-service beverage stations where closed to the public.
However, a makeshift counter area was created and a cast member was stationed in front of the area to pour the beverages.
We found this to bee a quick, easy and effective solution rather than doing a big refurb.
The seating area was looking expansive and pristine.
We didn’t notice any tables that had been marked as off limits. However, we should note that we entered as soon as they opened which means they might not have yet had time to update this.
We’ll pop round during the week ahead to give you another awesome update!
