Newsom Says Disneyland NOT Opening Soon

Back to the drawing board; that is if there’s anyone remaining to go back to the said workspace.
Disneyland, Universal Hollywood, and Knott’s Berry Farm fans will continue to be disappointed and workers from each theme park will continue to stay home.
California Governor Gavin Newsom explained there’s not enough stability in the data to initiate the opening of the state’s theme parks.
Newsom Needs More Stability In The Data
“We don’t anticipate in the immediate term any of these larger parks opening until we see more stability in terms of the data.” Those are the long-awaited words of California Gov. Gavin Newsom on the fate of the state’s still-closed amusement parks.
“We feel there’s no hurry to put out guidelines, and we continue to work with the industry,” he continued.
Ouch! That is a gut punch to, well, everyone involved. Negotiations, even as late as yesterday, seemed to point to an opening; albeit limited, but still a start.

The governor’s response generally has been short and limited to saying the guidelines would be coming “very soon.” That’s why Wednesday’s statement is such a shocker.
Newsom Disagrees With Iger

Newson told reporters that the departure of Bob Iger from his economic recovery task force was indeed wrapped up in disagreements as to the best course of action.
“There’s disagreements in terms of opening a major theme park,” said Newsom. “We’re going to let science and data make that determination.
“I understand the dialectic,” added the governor.
“The friction that many business leaders have that they want to move forward … but we’re going to be led by a health-first framework, and we’re going to be stubborn about it.”
Easy for Newsom to say. He hasn’t been laid off.
However, as the number of states on the map turning red rises, the closure of theme parks might just be the least of everyone’s problems.

Newsome is an idiot. He cares nothing about his state or it’s people. The numbers show that parks can be opened and run, safely. Hell of alot safer that the “protests and riots”. Look at Disneyworld, Silverwood (Idaho) for example. Not to mention Disney’s other parks around the world. Newsome is going to be begging for the feds to bail out his bankrupt state. The amount of money being lost in revenue is staggering. California is going to either have to drastically raise taxes or severely cut state services. How is Orange and LA counties doing with NO tax revenue coming in from the theme parks and all the surrounding hotels and restaurants being closed and not paying any taxes. Wake up Newsome, you’re killing your state way faster than “Covid” ever could. Look at the numbers, are your hospitals overflowing? How about the cemeteries? The number of “cases” doesn’t mean squat if the numbers aren’t showing it. And we have all seen that the numbers of “actual” Covid deaths are far less than what is being reported by the press.
