Who Says Witches are Ugly?
It’s Halloween and there are lots of witches hanging around Disney, and one of them is edible. MickeyBlog found this delicious and very witchy cupcake at Captain Cooks’ at the Polynesian Resort. Each Halloween season seems to bring a new witchhat cupcake, but this one has some special surprises.
The cupcake matches Minnie’s current witch costume featured in the new Halloween Cavalcades at the MagicKingdom. It has the same blue, green, orange and purple color scheme. There are tiny sugary bats and ghosts on the top as well as Minnie’s ears and bow.
But, best of all, this witchy cake glitters. Yes, colorful glitter is sprinkled all over the cake and it absolutely shines in the sun. It is almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
The inside of the rich dark chocolate cake contains a macadamia nut buttercream and a Rocky Road filling. When you cut the cupcake in half you can see how much of that delicious buttercream makes up the colors of Minnie’s witch costume.
The cupcake is available at Captain Cook’s at the Polynesian Resort through October 31st for $5.99.
Captain Cook’s has several other Halloween and Fall treats including the Mike W. mini cake. Other popular fall treats include the Fall Colors Apple Pie Filled cupcake at the Grand Floridian and the Pumpkin Spice Martini at the France Pavilion at EPCOT.
