More Signs of the NBA Slowly Leaving the Walt Disney World Bubble
As the NBA Playoffs march on at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, more and more teams are leaving the Bubble. This means that more parts of the Resort are getting back to “business as normal.”
One of the three Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to host NBA players and staff was Disney’s Beach Club Resort which has already been vacated. Today, we were able to snap some EXCLUSIVE photos of crews taking down the fencing around one of the areas of the Bubble at the Convention Center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
While it was common knowledge that the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs is the main “hub” of the Walt Disney World NBA Bubble, the Contemporary’s Convention Center was also used as a practice facility. With more teams leaving the NBA Bubble, they have decided to consolidate into one practice facility.
Once the NBA Conference Semifinals wrap up, there will be even more teams leaving the Walt Disney World Bubble. When the Conference Finals start in the next round, there will be four teams left on property which will likely mean teams and staff will begin leaving Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and move over to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is scheduled to reopen to Guests beginning September 21, 2020. As the NBA Finals are expected to wrap up the beginning of October, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is set to reopen to the public beginning October 14, 2020.
