Lime Fresh Mexican Grill Possibly Coming to Disney World
The ever-growing Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is reportedly eyeing the Winter Haven/Disney area for a new opening spot “in the coming weeks”.

The restaurant has former locations in the Dr. Phillips area, Winter Park and Lake Mary, which previously were owned by Ruby Tuesday, but they all closed in 2016.
Orlando Business Journal caught up with the CEO Vinay Rama on the possible opening of this new Mexican hot spot.
Why did Lime Fresh decide to return to Orlando? We feel Lime is a brand that Orlando residents desire in their neighborhoods. In speaking to Orlando residents, there is significant positive memory recall associated with the brand. We want to be in various markets around Florida, but Orlando is one of the most exciting given its positive history here. This city has a special piece of the aspirational component of the brand.
Why did you choose the Lake Nona area for a location? Growing neighborhoods that appreciate and value fresh experiences are right up our alley, but even more importantly, to us Lake Nona is synonymous with the future way people live, work, play and pray. Lime’s ethos aligns very well with the latter, given our aspiration to evolve constantly — Lake Nona and Lime as a brand will evolve together. Lessons from the area will be applied across the brand. This will be our corporate store where we try new things, experiment with the menu and introduce fresh concepts that can be rolled out to our whole portfolio.
How big will the location be and what’s typical number of jobs created? The location is 2,804 square feet with approximately 600 square feet of outdoor dining space. We will create 40-50 jobs directly and another 10-20 indirectly through our suppliers, vendors and service providers.
Any changes to the menu from when Lime was here in the past? We will evolve the menu. Many items will be bolder in flavor, with more options in the most desirable categories such as tacos. We are adding flavorful and ‘Lime-like’ lower calorie and vegetarian menu items, also.
How would you best describe Lime Fresh Mexican Grill? A brand that is passionate about creating memorable experiences through Mexican-inspired cuisine, Miami-inspired vibes and a universally-inspired energy
What other submarkets in Orlando are you considering for more locations? We’re working on our second and third locations in Central Florida to be in Winter Park and on Disney property.
