Cirque du Soleil ‘Drawn to Life’ Cancels First Performances
If you patiently waiting for the all-new Cirque du Soleil show at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, Drawn to Life, to make its debut, you are going to have to wait a little longer. The show, that was originally supposed to premiere back in April of this year has been pushed back once again.
Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life was set to debut on April 17, 2020 at Disney Springs. But then, as you know, COVID-19 happened. The new premiere date was set for November 5, 2020. Our MickeyBlog leader, Greg, had tickets purchased to the performance on November 5 but just received an email saying that had also been cancelled.
Per the Cirque du Soleil website, the first Drawn to Life performance is set for Tuesday, November. However, after talking to a rep at Cirque, they advised us to re-book for December because the premier date is likely to be pushed back again.
Anyone who had tickets purchased for any of the performances between November 5 to November 17, will receive a full refund. Those refunds should begin to go out within the next one to two days.
When it finally does make its debut, Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life invites Guests to set their imagination in motion while witnessing a love letter to the art of Disney animation. The show marks the first-ever collaboration between the two entertainment giants – Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
