VIDEO: Focus on The Land (and Mexico)
Visiting The Land and Mexico Pavilions at Epcot
Another gorgeous day in the Orlando area. However, you wouldn’t know it.
Mickey Blog’s travels throughout Epcot — under blue skies — looked futuristic and cosmopolitan, even as he remained near home. Edutainment, food, futurism, culture, and fun.
Firstly, though, Greg Antonelle walked us through the under-construction, newly-configured entrance to Epcot.
Notice the new “pylons”? Can’t wait to see them in person!
Then he headed to The Land Pavilion:
The Land is my favorite spot in Future World, particularly because it was designed by Rolly Crump.
And Living With The Land…
Billed by Walt Disney World, thusly:
See firsthand how Walt Disney World horticulturalists are using innovative growing techniques and cross-breeding high-yield crops to help feed a growing planet.
Discover a cornucopia of fruits and veggies from around the world—some modified to jaw-dropping effect. Feast your eyes on edible food crops from around the world. Glimpse hybrid striped bass, tilapia, catfish and freshwater shrimp in our fish farm.
On this eye-opening tour, you’ll be inspired by a hopeful vision of farming’s future.
My favorite pieces of Living with the Land are the farmhouse and the hanging tomatoes.
Then it was off to Soarin’…
Hey, it’s always good to hear Cronk, Patrick Warburton, narrating the pre-show.
Then, Mickey Blog left the building; looking out over the whole of Epcot – where would he go?
And I was thrilled to see Greg head to The Mexico Pavilion:
And I know that you want to get to the video, so enjoy:
