Fall and Halloween Decorations Will Still Materialize at Walt Disney World This Year
With the announcement earlier this year that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was being cancelled, many were wondering if the Magic Kingdom in other areas at Walt Disney World would still see Fall and Halloween decorations go up this year. Today, I am happy to confirm, that they will!
I was able to confirm this information after chatting with a Cast Member via my My Disney Experience account.
Unfortunately, we do not know EXACTLY when those Fall and Halloween decorations will go up at Walt Disney World. In years past, that magically went up over night right before the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party of the year. This year, with no Parties, I feel that they will gradually materialize throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
The first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is usually held mid-August. So, it is quite possible we might start seeing our first Fall and Halloween decorations around Walt Disney World beginning next week. Or, it could be a few weeks before they make their annual debut.

With Walt Disney World confirming that will be decorating for Halloween this year, that gives me one more reason, (if I needed one!) to head to the Parks this Fall. Yes, I was bummed Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party cancelled, but just seeing those pumpkin decorations on the lamp posts heading down Main Street U.S.A in the Magic Kingdom is really all I need right now!

In addition to the Fall and Halloween decorations, did I mention the crowd levels and wait times at Walt Disney World right now?! The crowds are so low that wait times for popular attractions such as Flight of Passage and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are as low as five minutes at times! Many are able to ride all of their favorite attractions multiple times throughout the day. Fall, Halloween, low wait times and crowds? Sign me up!
