All Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties at Disney World for 2020 Cancelled
I am sad to pass along that Disney has just confirmed that all Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties for 2020 have been cancelled. While we were hopeful this special event would still be held, Disney had decided that due to the current, unprecedented environment, it’s best to cancel all parties at this time.
Here is the official statement from Disney regarding the cancellation of the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties at Walt Disney World for 2020:
While assessing another fall special event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we determined that many of its hallmarks – stage shows, parades and fireworks – are unable to take place in this new, unprecedented environment. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
In addition, to all of the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties for 2020 being cancelled, h20 Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park has also been cancelled.
However, the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT will begin even earlier this year! While it will look and feel a little different than festival in previous years, this year’s festival will kick off on July 15! For those keeping score, this is the same day that EPCOT will open to the public after the extended closure.
Right now, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled to go on as planned along with the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Disney will continually monitor the current environment to make the best decision for these annual events.
Disney will be assisting those Guests who have already purchased tickets for the 2020 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties with refunds over the next several weeks.
