What Happened To John Now? Carousel of Progress Closes
It might not be a great, big beautiful tomorrow with the news that The Carousel of Progress, one of our favorite vintage Magic Kingdom attractions is showing up as temporarily closed. This is being confirmed by numerous online sources and when we logged onto our My Disney Experience account we saw the following notification:
We aren’t sure yet whether or not the Tomorrowland attraction will reopen tomorrow or whether John and family will remain on hiatus for a while. This is a story that we’ll be following closely and we promise to keep you posted!

Some of Disney’s legendary attractions are off to a bit of a rocky start since reopening earlier this month. A few days after the Magic Kingdom welcome backed visitors, John was a bit glitchy as you can see from the image above.

In addition, just last week Nick over at MagicalNewsLIVE shared this video of Jose taking a topple during the Three Caballeros ride at EPCOT. According to recent reports, the character has yet to return to the ride in the Mexican Pavilion.
After four long months of little to no employees or visitors, we’re not surprised that some of the veteran attractions are feeling a bit stiff in the joints. However we hope that both Jose and John make a return some point soon. Disney World just wouldn’t be the same without them!
We’ll be coming to you LIVE from the theme parks all week so please continue to follow along with MickeyBlog for more awesome Disney insights.
