H2O Glow Night Events at Typhoon Lagoon Cancelled For 2020
Last night was a HUGE evening for Disney news with some good and some bad. On the bad side, we had the news that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties have been cancelled for 2020. On the good side, Disney in an official statement revealed that the Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be a part of Epcot’s reopening plans with food booths up when the park opens on June 15th. However, offerings this year will be limited and Eat to the Beat Concert Series will not be happening.
Today, we’re coming to you with another update, this time regarding Disney World’s Popular H2O Glow Night Events that Take place at Typhoon Lagoon throughout the Summer.
In their official statement, Disney said that ALL H2O Glow Night events would be cancelled for 2020. This includes the following dates:
Event Dates
- May 27, 30
- June 3, 6, 10, 17, 20, 24, 27
- July 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
- August 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29
Here’s a look at what Disney said in their press release yesterday:
“Additionally, Disney H2O Glow Nights, the nighttime special ticket event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, will not take place for the remainder of 2020. Guests who have already bought tickets to these events will be assisted with refunds over the coming weeks.”
For that unfamiliar H2O Glow Nights is an after-hours event where the park closes to the general public and becomes and tropical, neon-filled, dance party event. Here’s a look at some of the activities that take place during these special soirees.
- Glow-rious lighting effects and décor throughout the water park
- A DJ dance party on the sandy beaches of the Surf Pool
- Toy Story-themed activities and Character Greetings
- A tempting selection of limited-time, event-themed food and beverage specialties
- An adults-only retreat for Guests 21 and over, featuring live entertainment and a cocktail bar with a bevy of refreshing beverage for purchase
- An oh-so flashin’-able souvenir glow wristband
We absolutely love Glow Nights and sincerely hope that we see them back next year. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest Disney World news and updates.
