If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that we’re coming to you LIVE! from Magic Kingdom this morning where Rivers of America has officially reopened to the public!
The Liberty Belle is back on the river and Tom Sawyer is once again welcoming guests via raft ride!
We were lucky enough to be on the FIRST raft going over to the island this morning! Check out our video here:
It was so nice to see the crowds around the River this morning.
Fans definitely missed Tom Sawyer Island just check out the line to get on the rafts this morning.
The sun was shining and there was a cool breeze on the island making it perfect for exploring!
Because of its slightly secluded location next to Frontierland and Liberty Square, it is often easy to overlook the the queue to get on to the ride.
For that reason many will visit Magic Kingdom but skip out on Tom Sawyer Island!
For that reason, we’ve always considered it a bit of a hidden gem and a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.
.
There are buildings and trails to explore and your own pace.
The hours for the island are posted when you arrive and it usually closes up for the theme park closes.
There’s also a map guiding you through some of the key places you’ll want to visit!
Rides of the Island tend not to be to long making it a great port of call when you have some time to kill.
From wandering the dusty dirt roads lined with tall trees to exploring the whirling mills and amble across creaky suspension bridges its fun for Disney (and Mark Twain) fans of all ages!
You’re sure to feel a sense of adventure as you navigate through narrow passages and through secret mined caves before coming to frontier fort!
If you’ll be at Magic Kingdom Today be sure to stop by check out all of the fun for yourself!
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog where we’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each and every week.
